StoryArc Editorial – Terms of Service
Overview
StoryArc Editorial provides developmental manuscript feedback focused on story structure, pacing, character development, and reader clarity.
By booking services with StoryArc Editorial, the client agrees to the following terms.
Services
Services may include:
- Story Review (alpha/beta level reader feedback)
- Manuscript Development (developmental feedback and editorial letter)
- Series Support (story continuity and development across multiple books)
These services focus on story-level feedback. Unless otherwise stated, services do not include line editing, copyediting, or proofreading.
Payment
Project pricing is based on the manuscript’s final word count and selected service. Payment is required before work begins unless otherwise agreed.
Turnaround Time
Estimated turnaround times will be provided when the project is scheduled. Turnaround may vary depending on manuscript length and current workload.
Manuscript Readiness
Manuscripts submitted should be a complete draft that has gone through the author’s own revision process. StoryArc Editorial provides feedback and suggestions but does not provide rewriting or ghostwriting services.
Editorial Perspective
Editorial feedback reflects professional opinion and reader interpretation. All final creative decisions remain with the author. Disagreement with feedback does not constitute grounds for a refund.
Follow-Up Questions
Authors may ask reasonable clarification questions about their feedback report. Requests for additional review of revised chapters or new material may require booking an additional service.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts are treated as confidential. StoryArc Editorial will not share, distribute, or reproduce an author’s work without permission. Manuscripts will not be used for AI training or machine learning datasets.
Cancellation
If a project is cancelled before work begins, a full refund will be issued. Once editorial work has started, refunds are not available.
Professional Relationship
While many projects originate through writing communities or social media groups, all client relationships with StoryArc Editorial are conducted as professional service agreements.
Agreement
Booking services or submitting payment confirms agreement with these Terms of Service.
